Elliot Schuler is a Founder of Amborella Law, leveraging his 25-year journey across the legal, financial, and insurance industries. Elliot’s career spans civil litigation, complex commercial restructurings, and hedge fund legal strategy.

A native New Yorker drawn to reinvention, Elliot began his journey at the University of Texas and went on to earn his law degree (Juris Doctor) from Emory University in 2001. He spent the first decade of his legal career litigating high-stakes commercial cases principally at global law Baker McKenzie before transitioning in-house to a Dallas-based hedge fund. There, Elliot managed legal matters involving some of the world’s largest financial institutions and began to view claims through the lens of business and legal strategy.

It was in this environment, where legal claims met recovery opportunities, that Elliot joined forces with likeminded colleagues to pursue a new venture, guided not by a fixed plan but by a shared drive to explore, innovate, and uncover overlooked value. That journey led to the creation of SubroSmart and after a decade of success, ultimately, the expansion of SubroSmart’s vision to include a full-service law firm at Amborella Law.

The team at Amborella Law did not build a traditional law firm, but rather one built on creativity, operational clarity, and strategic execution, designed to rethink how large loss subrogation claims are investigated and prosecuted. From designing proprietary systems to improve process efficiency to assembling a team that spans legal and forensic expertise, Elliot has prioritized people, process, and purpose.
