Gerrit Nagarwalla, CPCU, AIC, is a Managing Director at Amborella Law, where he supports the firm’s operations, client relationships, strategy, and continued growth.

Gerrit has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience, with deep expertise in claims leadership, operations and management across the U.S., Bermuda and London insurance markets. He joined Amborella Law in 2026 following nearly 12 years at Canopius, where he advanced through a series of senior leadership roles, most recently serving as Head of Claims, U.S. and Bermuda.

At Canopius, Gerrit helped build and lead a sophisticated U.S. claims organization that supported the company’s significant growth in the U.S. market. His work spanned domestic and London Market claims, open market and delegated business, TPA oversight, and complex property, casualty, and specialty claims. He also partnered with underwriting, actuarial, distribution, and executive leadership teams to strengthen claims operations and advance broader business goals.

At Amborella Law, Gerrit brings the perspective of a seasoned carrier executive to the firm’s continued growth and development. He works to strengthen operations, enhance the client experience, and identify new opportunities to improve claims and subrogation outcomes for the firm’s carrier clients.
